Spencer started The Broadway Critic Blog in November 2009 and has loved every second writing about theatre in the Bay Area, Las Vegas, London and of course, Broadway. He frequents New York City often and loves seeing and promoting great theatre!

Spencer attended Boston University where he received his Master’s in Music Education and teaches choir & musical theatre at Pinewood School – an independent private school in the Bay Area. He’s also the Education Director at San Jose Stage Company and runs the Bay Area High School Musical Theatre Awards – Stage Top Honor Awards. When he’s not critiquing or teaching theatre, he’s usually participating as musical director or as a performer. He last musically directed the smash hit, Avenue Q at San Jose Stage Company.

His favorite part of the blog is the interaction and friends he has met from all over the world! Keep theatre alive but supporting it, talking about it and telling others about it.
